The war in Ukraine: Older people under the siege

“It is important that we welcome those who manage to evacuate and flee from Ukraine to other European countries, at present mostly women and children. Still, we must not forget those older persons in Ukraine often unable to evacuate, flee, or move to safer shelters”, says Johan Fritzell. “We do not hear so much about the suffering of older persons in Ukraine. Yet it is obvious that many live alone and are in desperate need of clean water, food and medication.”
