Kristin Nordin

Kristin Nordin is a postdoctoral researcher working with Alireza Salami in the Psychology Sector of the Aging Research Center. She completed her PhD in Psychology at Uppsala University in 2018, following which she held a postdoctoral position in Alireza Salami’s lab at Umeå University and Umeå Center for Functional Brain Imaging.

The main focus of Kristin’s research is the hippocampus and its role in memory function across the lifespan, specifically considering variation in hippocampal properties along its longitudinal axis. As part of the DopamiNe, Age, connectoMe, Cognition (DyNAMiC) project, Kristin for example studies age effects on the organization of axis-related hippocampal cortical connectivity in relation to dopamine and episodic memory.
