Jie Guo

Jie Guo joined ARC as a PhD student and defended her doctoral thesis in November 2022. She currently works as a research coordinator in the MERA group. She is interested in adiposity and is keen to explore its effect on the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cognitive impairment, disability and mortality. Moreover, she also focuses on the trajectory of adiposity measures and exams whether and to what extent the changes of those measures could improve the prediction.

Jie has a Medical Degree from the Shandong University, Jinan, China and MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Peking University. During her master’s, she completed a research project on exploring the association of blood pressure with cardiovascular diseases and its subtypes among Chinese adults.
