Erika Augustsson is a PhD student in the Social Gerontology Sector at the Aging Research Center (ARC). She has a MA (hons) in Sociology with Quantitative Methods from the University of Glasgow and a MSc in Social Research and Social Statistics from the University of Stirling. The overall aim of her thesis is to investigate the “new old” and the processes involved in shaping old age behaviours and lifestyles in the most recent cohorts of older people.
