The Swedish National Study on Aging and Care in Kungsholmen (SNAC-K) Care System Study

Mårten Lagergren, PI (

This study gathers information about use of health and social care services by SNAC-K participants who are 65 years and older. The goal is to gather longitudinal (long-term) information about all forms of care for elderly people in Sweden, including but not limited to information about hospital visits; home health care provided by doctors and nurses; informal help from family members and others; and home visits by municipal care workers (to assist with things like bathing, cleaning, shopping, and more). A complete list of information collected can be found on the SNAC-K Web site.
