The Optimizing geriatric Pharmacotherapy through PharmacoEpidemiology Network (OPPEN) is a consortium of researchers working in the field of geriatric pharmacoepidemiology. The inaugural OPPEN workshop was held in May 2017 at ARC. Five research groups from Australia, Belgium, Finland, Italy and Sweden presented their research and explored opportunities for collaboration. The groups also worked together to discuss and consolidate the priorities for conducting research in this field, and a paper from these discussions was recently published in JAMDA.
