Another successful ARC-day was held in Elite Carolina Tower Hotel on December 5th and Goran Papenberg acted as our excellent moderator throughout the day.
Maria Eriksdotter, Head of Department at NVS, Johan Fritzell and Kristina Johnell held an introduction where they informed about a changing future due to KI and ARC reorganization. Maria Eriksdotter will become Dean of KI South Campus from January 1st, 2019 – recruitment of a new NVS-departmental Head has started.
Kristina Johnell and Jonas Persson were given flowers as a small token of our appreciation since they are both taking off for future challenges. Kristina will become Head of Department at MEB and Jonas is appointed professor at Örebro University (although not leaving ARC completely).
Johan Fritzell remains Director of ARC but will also be Head of the ARC division from January 2019, assisted by Deputy Heads Erika Jonsson-Laukka and Carin Lennartsson and Assistant Head Chengxuan Qiu.
Presentations about the latest achievements within the NEAR-project and the three ARC-sectors was given by Deborah Rizutto, Lieke de Boer, Anna-Karin Welmer /Viviane Straatmann and Josephine Heap.
After the tasty lunch, we could learn from Christin Mellner the importance of setting boundaries at work (and in daily life), and how to reflect on our own situation. Thoughtful tasks and questions were discussed in groups and all together. We thank you Christin for an interesting and rewarding lecture with following sessions!
The ARC seminar group awarded the most frequent participants in the ARC seminar series during Fall 2018: Federico Triolo and Mozhu Ding.
Last but not least, before anyone was allowed to leave the room and start preparing for the Italian inspired Christmas dinner, a Christmas quiz had to be answered. The 5 winners each got a Christmas present at the dinner table: Stina Ek, Johan Fastbom, Christina Dintica, Alex Darin Mattsson and Maria Wahlberg.
Thank you everyone for making it such a memorable day!
