The time spent as a PhD student is often “safe”, with a strong community and a supervisor to support you. However, when you have to stand on your own feet as an independent researcher, you may no longer have a network to turn to. That is why Charlotta Nilsen, Caroline Hasselgren, Malin Ericson and Catharina Melander, postdocs affiliated with SWEAH, have created SAIN (SWEAH Alumni Interdisciplinary Network), a platform for postdoctoral career development.
