New thesis examines the association between retirement and health in different socioeconomic groups

Harpa Sif Eyjólfsdóttir, PhD student at the Aging Research Center, will be defending her thesis entitled “Unequal tracks? Studies on work, retirement and health” on 24 May 2021. She has been looking closer at how health and socioeconomic status influence the age of retirement, and in turn, if and how prolonged working life can affect health in later life for different socioeconomic groups.
