Margareta Grafström, professor emerita in care sciences and geriatric care, has passed away. Here at the Aging Research Center (ARC), we were very sorry to hear this sad and surprising news from her family. We still have a clear picture of Margareta as a vital, healthy, and always-young person.
She has been an appreciated supervisor of several PhD students, and for many of us at ARC, a colleague who was always ready to help. Her research focused on the burden of people caring for relatives with dementia, and she was one of the first people in Sweden to explore this field. We will remember her as a pioneering researcher, an invaluable friend, and a fantastic woman who shared her intelligence, good humor, and beautiful smile with us.
