Åke Wahlin, professor of gerontology, Jönköping University, has unexpectedly passed away. Åke had and will always have a special place in the hearts of many of us here at the Aging Research Center. Over the years he was a fellow doctoral student to some, friend and a long-term collaborator to others, guest professor to many, and always a supporter of our center.
We will remember Åke as a researcher passionate about the field of gerontology, as a person sincerely interested in the wellbeing of others, and as a loyal friend. Our thoughts go to his closest family.
