Grégoria Kalpouzos appointed Associate Professor of Neuroscience

In May 2020, Grégoria Kalpouzos has been appointed Associate Professor of Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet.

Grégoria’s work lies within the field of the cognitive neuroscience of aging. Using a broad range of neuroimaging techniques, she investigates the effects of aging on structural, molecular and functional brain integrity. Grégoria is the principal investigator of the ongoing IronAge project, in which the predictors of brain iron accumulation and its impact on brain function, psychomotor and cognitive performance in aging are studied. She currently has funding from the Swedish Research Council to support this project. Grégoria is also active in teaching at the undergraduate and doctoral levels at KI, where she leads a PhD course on integrating neuroimaging and cognition in normal aging and dementia.
