Johan Fritzell started at ARC as Professor in Social Gerontology on January 1 and will be leading the sector of social gerontology and be responsible for the activities in the sector. Johan Fritzell has been Professor of Sociology at the Centre for Health Equity Studies (CHESS) and has also been Research Director at the Institute for Futures Studies and a member of the Governmental Swedish Welfare Commission. He is currently PI for a larger Nordic research program on the impacts of income inequality on mortality; has participated in several EU framework programs; and has extensive experience in international collaborative research.
