The Graduate Research School on Health and Aging has organized a symposium on January 23-24, for research assistants and doctoral students: “Finnish-Swedish symposium on aging”. During two days students have presented their work in progress and have been an opponent on two papers each. The symposium had a friendly atmosphere and the students will bring back ideas and new friends from the event.
The symposium also consisted of three plenary lectures:
Marja Jylhä – Age in ageing research – self-evident and forgotten
Laura Fratiglioni – Measuring the health in the elderly persons – multiple
Johan Fritzell – Health inequalities: empirical facts and recent debates
