Researcher Eva von Strauss, who received her doctoral degree at ARC in 2000 and is now director of eldercare institutions for the Red Cross in Stockholm, has been widely interviewed by Swedish media over a decision by the Red Cross Foundation (Stiftelsen Rödakorshemmet) to stop running two eldercare institutions in Stockholm. The foundation made this decision because the level of funding provided by Stockholm is insufficient to provide service and care that meets Red Cross standards.
