This division, directed by Professor L Borell, conducts nationally and internationally leading research and undergraduate, masters, and doctoral-level education in the discipline of occupational therapy. Older adults with disabilities are a major focus of research. Ongoing research projects that involve PhD students include: 1) Aging in place, 2) Everyday technology and devices used by people with cognitive impairment, 3) Consequences of cognitive impairment in daily occupations after stroke, 4) Assessment of awareness of disability, and 5) Theoretical and empirical aspects of occupational transitions.
