As part of a visit to Karolinska Institutet, a delegation from the National University of Singapore (NUS) visited the Aging Research Center in January 2014 to attend a workshop on neurovascular dementia hosted by Laura Fratiglioni. The guests included Associate Professor Christopher Chen Li Hsian, Department of Pharmacology, and Professor Philip Keith Moore, Executive Director of the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering.
KI and NUS have worked together since 1999, particularly in the field of molecular epidemiology, and are eager to expand their collaboration to new areas. The group discussed dementia research at both institutions and opportunities for collaboration, such as the exchange of postdoctoral students and researchers. For a full program please click here.
This visit was particularly important because both ARC and KI are interested in internationalization of research.
