Danish Minister for Health visited the Aging Research Center

Sophie LohdeDanish Minister for Health, Sophie Løhde with delegation, visited the Aging Research Center on Monday June 20 for presentations on healthy ageing and the epidemiology of dementia, interventions to decrease the risk of developing dementia, and the problems regarding polypharmacy / drug use among elderly persons. Participating from ARC were Martin Lövdén, Johan Fastbom and Giola Santoni.
During the two day visit in Sweden the delegation also visited the Swedish Dementia Centre (Svenskt Demenscentrum), Silviahemmet, the National Board of Health and Welfare (Socialstyrelsen) and their colleagues Gabriel Wikström, Swedish Minister for Health Care, and Åsa Regnér, Minister for the Elderly.
The study visit in Sweden is a part of the preparatory work to create a national action plan in making Denmark a dementia friendly society and to improve the life for persons with dementia.
