Blodomloppet is a race to increase awareness about the importance of blood donation. ARC participated with three teams, two teams in the 5KM with time measurement and one team in the 5KM walking group. An ARC team won when summarizing all team members total time of all groups starting at 16:30 on June 4 at Blodomloppet. Our department NVS (Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society) supported the ARC team with the registration fees and we represented Karolinska Institutet (KI) in black t-shirts with white KI logos.
As ARC research results show it is important with group activity and social networks in order to decrease the risk of developing dementia. ARC mixed both ingredients when participating in Blodomloppet.
