
Organisation and leadership
Executive group
Consists of the Director and Head of Division, the Assistant Head, the Economy coordinator and the Safety representative. The executive group implements decisions taken by the research group leaders and meets every other week.
Research group leaders
Consists of the group leaders from the eight research groups. The Head of Division leads the group. The research group leaders are responsible for scientific, organisational, and financial issues and meet once a month.
Administration group
Consists of the Economy coordinator, HR administrator and purchase administrator, supporting management, staff and affiliates in the day-to-day work at the division.
External board
Supports and fosters the activity at ARC. It has an advisory role in budget issues and the overall planning of major ARC activities. Meets at least twice a year. Members are selected by Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm University.
Research groups
There are eight research groups at ARC, which can be categorised into three scientific areas: Medical Epidemiology, Psychology and Social Gerontology.
Division at NVS
ARC is a division at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society (NVS) at Karolinska Institutet.
