In collaboration with the Division of Geriatric Medicine, NVS department, KI, we have implemented a population-based magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) study within the SNAC-K project. A random sample of 555 persons underwent structural MRI and diffusion tensor imaging at baseline.
A total of 347 persons have been to the first follow-up and 100 persons to the second. During 2011-2012, a sample of 57 persons from the new cohort of 60-year-olds have been examined with MRI.
