ARC is one of thirteen centers of excellence currently funded by the Swedish Council for Working Life and Social Research (FAS). Center of excellence grants are intended to complement existing university funding and enable outstanding centers to conduct long-term, strategic work that can lead to scientific innovation. We received a ten-year center of excellence grant in 2007.
As a FAS center of excellence, ARC has undergone two extensive evaluations by external panels appointed by FAS. The first took place in 2009 and the second in 2011. Both focused on the scientific quality of our research. The results of the second evaluation determined whether funding would be continued for the full ten-year grant period and the level of this funding.
ARC did very well in both evaluations. FAS increased our funding after the second evaluation.
